Having studied illustration in Glasgow, I was trained to paint and draw in a disciplined, precise manner, but when I discovered oils I wanted to adopt a more loose and free style which I hope is reflected in my finished pieces.

Now that I have the two disciplines (precise and more loose) I can adapt to whatever style suits the subject.
